Our trigger shoes are the width of the opening in the frame. All edges are beveled so there are not sharp spots to dig into your finger. The safety depresses flush with the face of the shoe with a stop to prevent it from depressing beyond flush. I do not know what the width is on the johnny glocks shoe. Feel free to give us a call if you have more detailed questions.
The shoe does not normally change the measurable pull weight by more than 1/4lb. The shoe does give a better feel by eliminating all the flex you get with a plastic shoe. The safety fits flush in the face of the trigger so it does not dig into your finger. If you want to reduce the pull weight, look at the trigger pull kit #4. The reduced power connector and extra power trigger return spring will lower your trigger pull to 3.5 to 4lbs on average.
